Every aspect of your site ought to be about your brand. Standing out from the rest isn't nearly as important as having other people recognize your web site. If a visitor travels to additional pages and they look
ifferent, they might believe they unexpectedly left your web site and then leave it all together.

Obviously it will have to be much smaller than the main logo on your page or additional areas to be utilized as a menu icon, perhaps as small as 16 x 16 pixels, but the reduced image will continue your branding throughout your pages and offer a advantage to your network marketing effort.

In addition, with this level of branding throughout your web site there will be no doubt in your visitor's mind where they are. You might even make it so a visitor bookmarking your web site will see the icon in his or her favorites, further imprinting the image. Remember, returning visitors frequently purchase more than first time visitors and keeping your image in their brains will aid your network marketing efforts With a bit of creative thinking, you might make it so prospective customers automatically think of you when they see your logo. This is among the simplest yet most effective branding techniques.

Have you ever considered the significance of color in branding? Color plays a vast role in memory recall. It excites all the senses, instantly conveying a message like no other communication technique.

Selecting the right dominant color for your brand is important. This color ought to appear on all your promotional material. Following is the most common impression each color conveys:

Red: Red sparks off your pituitary gland, increasing your pulse rate and causing you to breathe more rapidly. Count on red to arouse a passionate response.

Green: at large, green connotes health, freshness and serenity. Deeper greens are affiliated with wealth or prestige, while light greens are calming.

Yellow: In every society, yellow is affiliated with the sun. It communicates optimism, light and warmth. Particular shades seem to motivate and stimulate originative thought and energy. The eye sees

bright yellows before any other color, making them good for point-of-purchase displays.

Purple: Purple is a color favored by originative types. It evokes mystery, sophistication, spirituality and royalty. Lavender evokes nostalgia and sentimentality.

Brown: This earthy color transmits simplicity, durability and stability. Particular shades of brown, like terracotta, might convey an upscale look.

Black: Black is sober, bold, powerful and classic. It produces drama and connotes sophistication. Black works well for expensive products, but might also make a product look heavy.

White: White implies simplicity, cleanliness and purity. The human eye views white as a brilliant color, so it at once catches the eye in signage. White is frequently used with infant and health-related products.

Whenever we lose our temper, we are in real danger of damaging relationships and close ties with the people that we love. Words shouted or things thrown in anger can often be extremely hurtful to our loved ones, and it can be difficult for them to understand exactly what went wrong to trigger the reaction. Eventually, they will just stop trying and it will get more and more difficult to forgive and forget. Managing anger is extremely important, not just for you, but for everyone around you.

The first important step towards managing anger is to actually realise that you have a problem. If you look back over situations which have made you angry in the past, it is very likely that you will realise that your loss of control actually made the situation much worse, and not better. This is an important realisation for you to make when you acknowledge that you have a problem and need to do something about it. If you feel yourself getting angry just take time out to stop, think about the situation and try to figure out just why you are getting angry.  Very often the real cause of the anger is nothing to do with the present situation, and pent up frustrations from work can overspill into your home life causing misery and upset for your loved ones which they have no control over.

Once you realise what is truly causing the anger, the next important step in managing anger is to try and fix it. This is where you may really need to bite the bullet and communicate with the source of your anger. It may be that someone at work does something which really winds you up, but by talking about it the situation can be changed successfully, they probably won’t even know that they are doing it. Sometimes just be communicating problems you can actually remove the source of your anger and live a much more peaceful life.

Technique to Increasing Sales Part 2

51. Increase the frequency of ads shown
Often, companies with a limited advertising budget would choose to create larger, more visible ads that restrict them to advertise less frequently. However, a more effective way is to run more frequently with smaller ads even though they may appear less visible. The reason is because most people typically don't respond to ads the first time they see them. Prospects may need to see the ad a number of times before they take action.

52. Know the deciding factor
People tend to react emotionally when making decisions. However, they like to believe that their decision was made based on rational thinking. So when presenting your offer, a smart marketer will first include the emotional motivator that wins the customer over and also encompass the rationality element to satisfy the customer’s need to rationalize.

53. Observe and learn from business outside your industry
Look outside your industry for the best business examples. It isn’t enough for you to only measure yourself against your competition because you'll only be as good as or a little better than they are. However, your customers are experiencing good customer service, quality billing systems in industries outside yours and they are unknowingly pitting your company delivery against those benchmarks as well.

54. Working the “willing suspension of disbelief”
People are choosing to buy from other people rather than from faceless corporations. Even though these people might not exist, having a human face for the company beats having just a company brand name.

55. Recognizing the 2nd order
The most important order you ever get from a customer is the second order because a two-time buyer is twice as likely to buy again as a one-time buyer.

56. Use the upper left
Eye maps have shown that the first thing you look when reading an article, catalogue or any reading material online or offline for that matter, your eye will rest first at the upper left hand corner of the spread. That's the place you can place your best seller. If your best seller is not an eye catching product or service, use an eye catching visual on the upper left and direct your reader to your actual ad elsewhere on the spread.

57. Write to one, reach out to many
Address your promotional, marketing materials or sales letters to one individual and write copy based on that person. Write in such a way as though you were sitting down and having a conversation with that person about your business.

58. Just-in-time marketing
Always be ready to receive your customer with what you customer wants. This is crucial because people have become spoiled by 24-hour, seven-day-a-week customized products and services.

59. Maintain good publicity
In this day and age of the internet, bad publicity can spiral totally out of control and spread like wildfire. Hence, ensure that you maintain a clean and good image by treating all your customers with integrity.

62. Magazine or Newspaper Special Inserts
Most publication houses publish special inserts for magazines or newspapers they produce. It can be an annual affair. These special inserts or sections are usually on topics of local interest, example Bridal Fairs, Real Estate Home Shows, Craft Fairs etc. These sections usually have a larger readership than the regular publication. Hence, having an insert ad can generate more business.

63. Newspaper Placement
Many companies count it a necessity to have ads placed in newspapers. The placement of where your ad appears in the paper can have a dramatic impact on how successful it will be. There are certain sections in the newspaper that people love to read and placing your ads there will increase your ads exposure.

64. Newspaper Ad Design
You might hear from the newspaper publisher that you can save money by getting them to design an ad for you. However, this is often not advisable because newspaper designers have to meet deadlines and in a short amount of time they are not able to produce quality high converting ads. Even though it may cost a little more, have a professional design your ads.

65. Save design costs
To save costs using a professional designer, get him or her to create your logo, text for upcoming events, etc and you pay one fee for all the pieces and assemble the pieces needed for each ad you place

66. News-like Ad
Make you ad blend into the newspaper to look like just another news article, with headlines and columns. Although the word "advertisement" is required to be placed at the top of your ad, that can be easily overlooked by the reader if you use a catchy headline and an attention grabbing first paragraph.

67. Service or Business directory
List your business in the service and business directory. This is available in some newspapers. Do check with the local publishers about this option.

71. Respond to a news story regarding your business or industry
If the newspaper publishes a negative story about your business or industry, counter it with a press release that shows the positive side of the story. The more controversial the topic, the more it may spark a positive article with your company portrayed in a positive light.

72. Look for other platforms
Your local newspaper is not the only print option. If you're doing business out of your local precinct, there may be other better advertising options that are more economical and reach more customers. Find such publications and subscribe to it for research.

73. Invite reporters for first-hand observation
To help reporters, bloggers or writer get a clear idea of what your average work day is like and how your business works, invite them to spend the day or part of a day with you. This is so they can have a complete story for their publication.

74. Have a product that simplifies life
People are always on the lookout to simplify and make their lives more convenient. Therefore, having a product or service that saves time or makes life easier may be more important to some customers than saving money.

75. Weekly Info
If you can provide daily or weekly information people need, get it out through your local radio station.

76. Get serious shoppers to visit your virtual sales room
Create an easy to navigate virtual sales room and update it frequently with the latest information. Place your company’s new product information on the site.

77. People make buying decisions on the web
Shoppers on the internet are not just "window shoppers". Statistics showed that 71% bought at least one high ticket item they researched on-line. Users ring to enquire about high ticket items offline.

78. Speed up the loading of your web page
The most frequently cited reason for leaving a particular site is the slow downloading time. Hence a faster loading of your site may potentially increase your product or service being seen.

79. Know the reasons why people go online to buy or make buying decisions

86. Ask your visitors to sign your Guest Book
These are the reasons why you should get your visitors to sign your guest book. Firstly, by signing your guest book, you can track the demographics of your hits. If you know the demographics of visitors to your site, you can pitch to other potential advertisers interested in advertising on your site using this information. The guest book also helps you to keep track of frequent customers and big spenders. You can eventually ask whether you could e-mail them with any special sales or promotions you have planned.

34. Know the demographics of your sales area
Knowing the demographics of your target audience is important because only then will you get ideas about how to market your product or service to them. You can get such information from local newspapers by asking them for an advertising rate kit. Some other places you can research are the local chamber of commerce, the city planning commission, the public library or local TV and radio stations.

35. Subscribe to industry magazines
Get a list of magazines from your public library. Subscribing to trade magazines related to your industry help you keep up with the what’s happening in your industry.

36. Subscribe to magazines that help your business self-esteem
Immerse yourself with positive business messages by subscribing to magazines that help build your business self-esteem. Read the success stories of entrepreneurs and business people.

37. Join organizations that can help you
Join organizations that support your industry. You can find the list of such organizations at your local public library or online. Go for conventions organized by those organizations and network with the people who are in the same industry as you to exchange business promotion and marketing ideas or strategies. There is always someone at these meetings who can help you succeed.

38. Matching a competitor's offer
Offer a better deal for a shorter time. Limit your irresistible offer and you will still drain off a lot of his customers on a busy sale day and you will be perceived as a better place to do business.
39. Have the knowledge of your clients’ special needs at your fingertips
Have a spreadsheet to keep track of clients’ requests for special services and products and whether you can meet these requests. With this information, you can track interest in new products or services that you should offer.

40. Be reachable
Be sure to include you contact details on every single communications collateral your company sends out so that customers can easily search for your contact when they need to. You can print your company name, address, and fax number on all materials including, packing slips and invoices.

41. Find out more about your customers
Having that personal touch beyond business always puts you advantageous in the minds of your customers. Learn more about your customers beyond just the business they are in. Pay attention to news about your customer and let them know you read about them.

42. Be an expert
Becoming an expert positions you as an authority in your field. That may significantly decrease your competitors’ strength. You can offer seminars that establish your company as an expert on the topic. Seminars also help you build better relationships with your current customers, attract more prospects, and increase your company's exposure. The strategy is to choose a topic with broad appeal among your client and prospect base. After the seminar, follow-up with attendees by mail or in person.

43. Sales letters
In this technological age, most of us don’t write letters anymore. However, truth be told, letters are still as effective as a means of communication because they always reach the intended audience. Sales letters actually help to enhance a company's professional image, help avoid misunderstandings and often make a sale.

44. Listen to your customers
Your customers can give you the best information you need to know about them by asking questions. Therefore, pay close attention to the questions new customers ask you. Armed with the knowledge about what your customers’ questions are, you can let these customers know that you will solve the problem with no hassles or problems.

45. Use personalized post-it notes to promote your company
Design and create personalized post-it notepads to promote your company. Every office uses post-its and they stick them to everything. Due to the fact that they use your post-its everyday, it is the case of repeated advertising. If they have a problem you can solve, your name and number are right there stuck to the page for them to contact you.

46. Categories of customers
Categorize your customers into different groups. The criteria to include is profitability; time spent handling orders and special requests. With these categories you can develop a plan to focus much of your time on the most profitable customers.

47. Marketing – The battle of perceptions
In the battlefield of marketing, perception of your company, brand, product or service wins over everything else. Therefore, it is more important to work on the branding of your company, product or service than on the product itself. Don’t get me wrong, your product does have to deliver good value but more time should be spend on marketing the product to increase sales for your business.

48. Ignore the competition
Sometimes, we are too concerned about our competitors and we forget about everything else. Believe first, with confidence in your vision, don't worry about your competition.

49. Be tenacious in your vision
The only failure is when you quit. Setbacks are the necessary evils in every business, they aren't failures. Be determined in whatever you are doing by keeping your eye set on your vision.

50. Tips for magazine advertising
It is proven that a two-page spread attracts about one-quarter more than a one-page ad. A full-page ad attracts one-third more readers than a half-page ad. With regards to illustrations and photos of the product advertised, people tend to respond better to images showing the product in use rather than those that show the product only. Pictures of people in ads attract more attention than those without.

3 Steps to Succes on Internet Part 4

Conclusion
There you have it... A simple 3-Step Process that will get you on the road to success.
Step 1 – Get the right tools:
l  A Web Site – you need to have your own web site so you can control the content.
l  An Autoresponder – you need to be able to follow up with your leads to build a relationship and generate sales.
l  A Product – you need a way to entice your prospects into giving you their name and email address.

Step 2 – Build a system:
l  Lead Capture – you need to create a page with an opt-in form that will allow your prospects to enter their name and email address in order to receive your information and gifts.
l  The Opt-In Process – set up the opt-in process with Thank You pages and Confirmation pages that add value, build your relationship and make additional offers.
l  The Follow Up – you can build a series of pre-written emails that will go out at certain intervals that will introduce yourself, warm up your leads, and make offers that should generate additional revenue.

Step 3 – Traffic:
l  Once you have all the other pieces of the system in place, you can start generating traffic and sending prospects to your lead capture page.
l  Free Traffic Methods – these include manual traffic exchanges, list builders or safelists and articles.  Blogs can be a great way to get Search Engine or Organic traffic.
l  Paid Traffic Methods – this includes Pay Per Click and Co-Registration.  Make sure you know how much it costs to acquire a lead and how much a subscriber is worth to you to avoid paying too much.  When purchasing leads through co-registration make sure you know exactly how those leads are generated.

If you follow these 3 steps you'll be building a foundation that will allow you to achieve the goals you have for your Internet business.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this short report on Internet Marketing.  My intention was to give you a simple 3-Step process that you can follow and implement to get your Internet Marketing business off the ground and profitable.  When I finally applied this 3-Step system to my Internet Marketing efforts, my business turned around and I started having results.  I know these steps work because I've applied them with success to my own business.  If you apply these steps to your business, you'll find yourself building your list faster and starting to generate more income in the process.

3 Steps to Succes on Internet Part 3

Step 3 – The Traffic
Now that you have your system created, it's time to start driving traffic to your lead capture page.  There are millions of web pages on the Internet.  If you don't have any traffic driven to your site, chances are pretty excellent not many people will see it.  So, in order to get any leads into your system, you need to drive traffic to that system.

There are two kinds of traffic you can generate – Free or Paid.

Free Traffic –
When are first starting out you may not have a lot of money to invest into your business.  After you have purchased your tools and maybe joined some Resell Rights web site, your budget may not allow you to spend money on traffic generation.  Don't worry, though, there are a lot of people who have made a lot of money from free traffic sources.  It just may take a little while longer than the paid methods.

Manual Traffic Exchanges – A manual traffic exchange is basically a service where you agree to look at other people's web sites in exchange for getting views to your web site.  They work very well, if you know how to use them properly.

The worst way to use a traffic exchange is to use your link for an affiliate product.  People are only going to view your page for 10 – 20 seconds and if you don't capture their attention enough to have them fill in your opt-in form, they'll be gone to the next site.  The best way to use a manual traffic exchange is to put a squeeze page up that offers a product related to traffic exchanges or other methods of traffic generation.  Another great element of a squeeze page for use in the manual traffic exchanges is a picture.  I was shocked at how many people knew who I was because I used my picture on my opt-in pages.

Traffic exchanges can be very effective in helping you to grow your list and build your business and profits.  The best resource I've found to learn how to use Traffic Exchanges effectively is The Residual Traffic System.

List Builders or Safelists – Safelists are a service that you sign up for that will allow you to send your email ads out to others in exchange for viewing emails from other members.  Credit based safelists seem to give you the most bang for your buck because you earn so many credits by viewing other members' emails.  List Builders are a variation on Safelists because they allow you to email people that you directly sponsor and people that they sponsor down for so many levels.  Some of these programs have a paid upgrade option that let you also email a certain number of random members every few days or so.

The most effective way to use these kinds of services is to have a link in the email you send out to a lead capture page.  You can use medium to long form lead capture pages because you need to give enough reasons (benefits) to the prospect to give you their email address for more information.

To learn all about how to effectively use Safelists and other List Builders, I recommend that you read The Ultimate Safelist Survival Guide by Soren Jordansen and Michael Cobb.  It has been called the definitive guide on use safelists.  It is a simple, practical and to the point guide filled with steps you can start implementing right away and it also includes 5 great tutorial videos.  You can get The Ultimate Safelist Survival Guide Here

Articles – With articles you basically write a series of articles based on the product you are promoting.  At the bottom of the article is a box called the Author Resource box where you can put a link to your sales page, blog or lead capture page (the best option).  If anyone uses your article on their site or in their blog, they have to include the resource box, which gives you another link to your site.  You can submit articles to the Article Directories on the Internet to get more traffic to your site.

Search Engine Optimization, SEO – SEO is not really a free form of traffic generation like the ones above in the sense that it is not used by itself but in conjunction with all other traffic generation methods.  SEO is creating your web page so the search engines like Google and Yahoo! will find it, spider it, and list it in the searches for your key words.

A blog is a great way to create a web site that is readily SEO.  Search engines crave fresh content and a Wordpress blog gives them just that.  You can install plug-ins in a Wordpress blog that will alert the search engines any time you update your post.  There are also other plug-ins that allow you to optimize your blog to make it attractive to search engines.

Paid Traffic –
After you have tuned your system so that you are earning money every time someone goes through the funnel, you can calculate your revenue per subscriber.  Then you can determine your acquisition costs to see if you can afford to pay for traffic.  All that means is that if you earn $1 per subscriber per month from your newsletter, you know you can spend up to $1 (sometimes a little more if you sell high end products at the end of your funnel) to acquire a new subscriber.

Here are a few of the paid traffic generation methods.

Pay Per Click, PPC – On the sides and sometimes at the top of search engine listings you'll see what are called Paid Advertisers.  These advertisers will pay the search engines every time someone clicks through their link.  This is a unique form of advertising because it is not based on views, but on actual clicks.  With PPC you need to calculate how many clicks turn into a subscriber, in order to determine how much you can afford to pay for each click.

Let's say for every 100 views to your web site you are getting one subscriber.  If each subscriber is worth over $1 per month to you throughout the life of that subscriber, you know that you can spend $1 per 100 clicks, or $.01 per click.  There are some other factors that go into determining how much you can bid per click, but I hope you get the general idea.

Pay Per Click is a great way to drive targeted traffic to your web site.  However, if you don't pay attention to your metrics you could end up paying a lot more for your traffic than you anticipated.  When used properly though, PPC can really boost the size of your list and your sales.

Co-Registration Leads – Co-Registration means that you pay to have your ad shown with a list of other ads.  There are paid and free ways to do Co-Registration.  One good example of this is when you sign up for a Yahoo! email account.  They show you several offers during the process.  If you click the box next to the offer, you will be added to that advertiser's email list.

Some co-registration offers are on a pay per lead basis.  They agree to give you so many sign ups for a certain amount of money.  You need to make sure that when you sign up for the service that you understand exactly how your leads are generated.  Some services pay people to sign up to newsletters.  This leads to a very poor quality of lead.  Other services just give you the name and email addresses of the leads you purchase.  Many reputable autoresponder companies will not allow you to email to these leads because they are very often scraped from the Internet without the person actually signing up for your newsletter.

** WARNING **
That brings me to my biggest warning to you.  This is my “If I had to do it all over again” moment.  When I started Internet Marketing, I got in with a group of people who told me that purchasing leads, and loading them to my autoresponder was the fastest way to grow my list and start making a profit.  After spending thousands of dollars on leads, all I got for it was BLACKLISTED!  My domain name was on all the SPAMMER lists, and I was unable to do any sort of email promotions for over a year.  I almost quit, but after a year decided to find people who would teach me the best way build my list, legally and ethically.

You should use a variety of the methods for generating traffic discussed above.  You may find that some will give you more subscribers but less sales and others may give you only a few subscribers but it is easier to get sales with them.  Whatever methods of traffic you use, make sure that you send that traffic to a lead capture page of some sort.  What good is traffic if they leave your site forever?  That's why a lead capture page is so important so you can follow up with your leads and build the relationship with them.

Ross Goldberg has put together an awesome product that covers 79 different traffic
generation strategies called The Traffic Manifesto.  He shows you step-by-step how to use all sorts of traffic methods from free social networking sites to pay-per-click.  It is a massive resource if you want to learn how to generate tons of traffic to your web site.  You can pick up The Traffic Manifesto here.
